Get ready to smash your old pumpkins and contribute to a sustainable future! Norfolk Outdoor Recreation, in collaboration with the Norfolk Park Rangers, invites residents and visitors to participate in the Pumpkin Rage Room on November 1 at Lakewood Park. All materials will be provided for this exciting experience, so just come prepared in clothing that you don’t mind getting a little messy from pumpkin guts! After you’ve released your pumpkin stress, you can drop off your smashed pumpkins at our composting trailer! We’ll also have an information table set up to educate you on the significant benefits of composting, including reducing waste in landfills, enriching the soil, conserving water, and supporting local ecosystems. This event is perfect for families and community members looking for a fun recreational activity while also making a positive impact on our environment!
